Which Fuel Tank (Enos 500/El Lobo)?

Post by Gene-C »

I need to know what fuel tank I should get to fit under the hood of an Enos 500/El Lobo body style buggy? Thanks, Thomas

You need to see where the cap will go on your body style, and have the filler tube re-located to where you want it. On my body, I`m using an early style VW tank that I bought new, and had the filler tube re-located towards the front center...because on mine, the cap goes in the center of the hood. Every body style is a bit different though. Working out these modifications is half the fun of building a buggy. Have fun.

don't be like me and buy a new tank meant for the year on the pan. I have a 59. i bought a 59 tank. I did not think of how much it would hold.. about 6 gal... found out i could have added a 11 gal tank... I was not happy. too much work to remove it now. this is why i added a 2nd tank in the rear right above the rear seat. looks cool and i now have 17 gal total or i can run 91 oct for street in small tank boost at 7lbs, and run aviation gas for off road in the sand, in the second tank. boost at 15lbs
