I thought these where intresting ideas notice the bus with each circuit linked to a circuit breaker. all so the cut out under the rear seat for a tool tray and when you lift it out easy access to the trans and starter.
The tray is about 4.5"deep as for the round black access pannel I have not removed it sense I have got the bug. So I do not know why my Grandfather put it there.
Are the circuit breakers the auto reset type? Whenever I use circuit breakers I use the manual reset type that way you know when you have an issue and you don't have to worry about a short circuit constantly popping the circuit breaker when you are not around and potentially starting a fire. I really like the tool tray idea.
Montana Manx, what are these for? just curious. I boxed in my "spare tire well" as a tool/junk box. Good looking buggy, yellow is a good color for a buggy. AZSpeedBuggy

One thing is that my Grandfather worked at Vandenburg AirForce Base on the missle site and all the wirring in the bug is really a odd type so maybe it is fire resistent? I know he got alot of left over supplies from the missle site. But any how I know that the reset breakers are safer.
