I need an early steering column!

Heve looked all over and only saw one on the samba, 58-67 column type I, and where I live these dont exist, I have a 70' column but that wont do for my build. Soon Ill be stuck and wont continue fitting without this. Already have ordered the seats from Hunsaker, today finished the side rails (where the body gets bolted) all supports etc. What I have pending is: to mount the hood on hinges with 12v actuator mock up seats when they arrive cut rear torsion housing and weld on adjuster steering column with quick release Basicaly ony a few weeks work before tearing down to paint chassis etc. Who has a steering column lying around?

try "Way out auto salvage" in Arkansas. Do a search they have a web site.

To have it flip forwards on hinges bolted to the front torsion bolts to head! Have had lots of opinions on this most bad or why the hell, but just so the tank fill wont show/hiden under the hood and as another show off thing, just think it will be cool to have the hood open up at gas station and show all the cables and tank underneath!
