I have never in my life used powder coating for anything. Last time I had a project car was back in the 70`s. Is powder coating heat sensitive? In other words, can it be used on exhaust parts?
I had my roll cage and accessories pwder coated and my exhaust and anything that resembled chrome I had ceramic coated. Ceramic actually makes it a bit cooler  Gene C
The advantage to powder is that it covers well on complicated parts like tubing and wire mesh. You have to remove anything that might melt, like lead in solder or bearings that might get ruined by sandblasting. ( because of baking temps) Another disadvantage is that touch up are near impossible if you have to modify something or get a scratch..
Do it yourself powder coating products like those at Eastwood are baked at 400 degrees F. So I would limit use on anything that gets near that temperature. Doug
