I?ve seen some previous discussions regarding the dune buggy in the Elvis movie, Live A Little, Love A Little, whether it is a Manx or not. Since I do like Elvis movies (shouldn?t admit that) I bought the movie. Side note: This move really stinks. Although the buggy appears a few times in the movie, the beginning of the motive has the best sequences. I?ve captured a number of screen shots of the buggy scenes and have included a few here for the experts to id. I noted the raised bump on the nose, an ABS dash, custom windshield (to keep the King's hair in place), and pictures of the rear seating area (there is a hump in the middle, an integrated battery box, and no spare tire hole). Additional information: the movie was released in 1968 so I?m guessing it was filmed in ?67 and/or ?68. I can?t remember if that was too early for the Manx II?s. Here is a link to the screen shots: http://www.manxgallery.org/gallery/album208 Click on the Live A Little, Love A Little folder.Bud

I'm going to have to go with the people who think its a clone. There is definitely no spare tire well and those aren't Deitz headlights. The hump in the backseat has the same gel coat color as the body so it was molded in when the body was made. Meyers never made anything with a hump in that location. I think the hump must have been to clear the top of the trans. Somehow the mold the clone maker pulled off the original buggy must have closed up a bit and they had to add the hump to the mold so the body would have more clearance. Its the same reason why even on a genuine Manx, the rear lip of the body doesn't fit down on the pan well. The windshield looks pretty homemade but it also folds forward. Cool. Couldn't find the folder with Elvis buggy screen shots. The TCA pictures are great.
Sorry, I fixed the link. The folder is at the bottom of the page.

Great screen shots. You should get a copy of The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes. Dexter Riley (Kurt Russell) definitely had a genuine Meyers Manx in that one. Too bad they deliberately smashed it into the back of a police car at the end of the movie. In the sequel, Now You See Him, Now You Don't, he had a clone.
Where's the buggy?
Here's some screen shots of Wonderwoman (Linda Carter) in a buggy.
