I?m running a 110 HP Corvair engine on a stock transmission. I was worried about gearing?. This little buggy took me from sea level right up to 3000 feet at 75 without a complaint! Some pretty steep grades too. We got lots of smiles, waves and ?thumbs-up? the whole trip. I?m very satisfied with the ?Little Red Manx?. I think I?ll call the project ?complete?..... And start the upgrades. Those 40 year old brakes are not up to my current (city boy) comfort standards, and I have the 180HP Corvair Turbo motor in the garage? Thanks everybody for the emotional and technical support and assistance in returning M1408B810E to the road. Finally took the Manx for a cruise today
Finally took the Manx for a cruise today
It has been many years since I drove my old buggy. I finally got (most) of the bugs worked out, and the wheel alignment done, so I felt confident/adventurous enough for an afternoon cruise to the local mountain pass. WHAT A BLAST!!
