Re: Show Off Your Before and After!
Hey Everyone,
I just joined the Manx Club a month ago and I hope to see a bunch of you at the July Big Bear run.
That said...here are my before and after pics.
How I found it in a field in January of 2001.
I spent 3 years gathering parts and building it.
I put in on the road in September of 2004 and then started adding things to it every winter or when money came along.
Here is after I got the PRP seats in it and the rear seat made....probably around 2006-1007.
Got bit by the turbo bug in 2007 when I started gathering parts and finally built a turbo setup for it in 2011. After many changes I am now Fuel injected, Water injected and boosted to 22 lbs with a 1679cc engine. It has been reliable every summer at 3500-4000 miles a year.
I still upgrade things every winter and can't seem to leave it alone.
Sitting at the beach on a warm night watching the sunset this past summer.
The wait is not very long.....

Re: Show Off Your Before and After!
Bought in '79. It was running, single port 1500. Fixed some wiring nightmares but drove it for years. About '84 one of my roommates was working at a chrome plating place, so I took the body off, painted it red and plated everything metal on the car I could get to. Still the stock 1500. Had the full cage put in around '88 or so. Best thing I ever did. Absolutely night and day difference in drive-ability, handling, tracking, etc. DO IT. I guess around '97 I had 2275 motor built. The original 1500 was still putting along just fine though. I pulled it and sold it to my neighbor who bought a buggy without a motor. This buggy has never left me stranded even once, although I did run out of gas once. Pic's with girl is how I bought the buggy.
