I just got off the phone with Jessie @ PRP seats and placed my order for a new set of roadster series seats and slider mounts to go into my manx. Thanks to Sand Manx and the gift certificate donated by PRP, previously won @ a manx club run raffle. I can't wait to receive them and get them installed.

Hey;
When you get them, let us know if the quality of the stitching has improved. A number of folks I have talked with won't purchase them due to bad piping. stitching, and needle marks. If they are better now than in the past, then maybe I might look at them again. I still have 3 buggys to build. Thanks.

I have PRP seats in both buggies and there are great. No problems at all. And PRP is very easy to deal with.
The only seat company that I have had problems with and others too is Beard Seats. When Jim Beard sold his company quaility and service went down hill.

Do the PRP seats have the mounting tabs in exactly the same spots as the Beards? The ten year old Beard seats in my buggy need new upholstery, and I am considering replacing them with PRPs. Thanks!

If you go to the PRP website they list the different spec's for each style of seat. I'm getting the roadster model as that they are narrower 19" then their regular models 21".

I've looked on the website, and they show every spec excpet the distances between the mounting tabs. The reason I'm asking is I made my own seat mounts to put the Beard seats on the stock VW tracks, and I would like to use them for PRPs if I decide to go with them.

The PRP seat I have measure 14in from inside to inside of tabs across seat. 18in from center of tabs front to rear.

New seats have arrived and they look awesome, they are going to be soooooo comfortable. I just need to find the time to install them. It only took PRP 11/2 weeks from ordering to door step. I think thats great.

Those look great! I especially like the way the piping matches the body.
