That is a good looking tow'd. I'm wondering if the airbrushed pictures could be removed without damaging the finish. For me the Corvair wouldn't be my first choice. But that metelflake blue, it doesn't get any better. Rick
I'm wondering if the airbrushed pictures could be removed without damaging the finish. that metelflake blue, it doesn't get any better. Rick
The gel coat is always thickest in the area that would have been at the bottom of the mold. That's where that picture would be.

The only thing that scares me about trying to remove the airbrush work is that the whole car is clear coated. I guess you can remove the clear coating with a solvent or something at the same time the airbrush work is taken off. But, then there might be a difference in gloss between the two areas, so you'd probably have to clear coat it again. I bid on it, but obviously not high enough. I eventually figured out the reserve was set at $!2,999.00. He also wrote that he wouldn;t sell it for less than reserve. He'd rather cover it up and put it back in the garage. So, I doubt he's gonna come back with a second chance offer.
