I saw the old(2001) email below posted on a personal dune buggy webpage. I thought it was interesting because it mentioned Action Fiberglass and I suppose its owner, Al Gold. Legend has it that Action Fiberglass got all the original Meyers Manx molds at auction for a few dollars. I sent the author a note in hope he will reply and provide more details/history. HELLO MY NAME IS RICK ERICKSON. I WORKED FOR VIRGLS IN 1967 THROUGH 1985 AND PROBABLY HELPED BUILD YOUR BUGGY. VIRGLS WAS RENAMED TO BOYD'S BUGGY CENTER ABOUT 1970 AS VIRGLS WAS A RV REPAIR COMPANY (CAMPERS / TRAILERS) BOUGHT BUY BOYD FROM VIRGLE. YOUR BUGGYS BODY WAS PROBABLY MADE BUY AL GOLD OF ACTION FIBERGLASS (HE COPIED BRUCE MYER'S BODY BUT ADDED BUMP'S TO THE HOOD LIKE YOURS) IF MY MEMORY IS CORRECT.
