Chroming intake manifold

I was thinking of getting my intake manifold center piece and end pieces chromed. I've never seen these parts being sold chromed, is this something advised against? I would also like to get that rotating part connected to the belt chromed (yes I mean the Alternator) CIP1 has a polished unit but it's fairly expensive, I wonder what sort of elbow grease it would take to get my unit polished? Any thoughts? Latest upgrade: Disk brake up front (in transit)

I think you would be better off getting the intake manifold ceramic coated instead of chrome. The ceramic will stand up better to the heat in the cross over tube and still look nice. Even the aluminum parts of the manifold should stand up better. A lot of the V8 hot rod guys around here get their aluminum manifolds done to keep them looking good. Tom
