Does anyone out there know what kind of flasher relay would be best for a dunebuggy? I am building one right now with one of those dunebuggy wiring diagrams. It calls for a relay with three terminals, input, output, and an extra for the dash light. Is this a common type? Where does one get this kind. I was only aware of the two prong units. My other dune buggy has a VW harness and system in it....it did not have to deal with this...furthermore, how does one get a four way flasher (hazards) system working on one of those aftermarket harness assemblies?

You should be able to pickup a 3 prong flasher at any good auto parts store I think it is a #552. What type of taillights you are using? Do they have a seperate bulb for the turn signal? I thought I would post this schematic since I went thru so much work to find out how a flasher worked when I was wiring my buggy. Image

I rewired my Manx completely from scratch using the diagrams available in the garage section of this site. I had no problems at all. (had to switch from 6v to 12v as well. "The Problem Is Not The Problem. The Problem Is how Your Dealing With The Problem..."
