Misery loves company

Post by croakintowd »

Hey Glassvair, You know how folks will encourage you to look for a guy that has it worse than you, when you are suffering? I'm your guy. In 1965 I had a '31 ford 5 window coupe with a Olds engine, Dual range Hydro trans, Chevy rear end, Casler cheater slicks, ladder style traction bars, etc. It was primered and sat in my driveway waiting for a battery and some fuel line. I never did hear it run, 'cuz I traded it for $15.00 , a FOUR TRACK tape player, four tapes and some speakers! OOOOOOOOH! I was smart! Hope you feel better now,

Howdy, I bought it from a guy in Vista, CA. It was pretty bad off. I dumped every nickel I could gather into the thing. It still wasn't any "Cherry". The body was straight, and in black primer. I never had it on the street. The guy bought it from me before I had money for a battery and some fuel line. The guy I "sold" it to lived here in Fallbrook. He had a '32 Roadster Highboy that was pretty nice. It was a "plain" car, but well done. I had a '56 Chevy wagon (Non-Nomad). I sold it to a friend for $85.00. We lived in a rural area, and some folks used to have their own fuel tanks in the ground. Well, he took my car and went to a neighbors house to steal some gas. He got caught. Nobody called the Police. The home owner simply unloaded his 30/40 Krag into the car. That killed it. They buried the car with a bulldozer, I'm told. So, if anyone needs a set of "Power Pack" heads, bring a shovel and I'll point you in the general direction of the "grave". Man, that seems like a long time ago! Feelin' old!,
While I am resizing pictures I'll throw this one up. Not sure if there are any fans of Extreme 4X4 on Spike, but here is a nice photo of the hostesses Jeep. This girl can weld.
What's that garbage all over her leg?

Nice pics! I'm looking forward to seeing more of that Overhaulin' Mustang....looks very Mad Max-ish. That new co-host is underwhelming; her boyfriend or husband is the show's producer, as I hear it. I miss Courtney. :( The OCC bike picture reminded me of an old joke. Q: How come Harley-Davidson never made refrigerators? A: They couldn't figure out how to make them leak oil. :D

I hope I'm not revealing it here but Courtney Hansen will be taking Danica Patricks place in hosting PowerBlockTV on Spike. And she just recently broke her arm when a car hood closed on it. The garbage on her legs is a series of Tattoos. While not a fan of heavily tattoed women or "tramps stamps". I think they work on her.

Oh Dave you did it now! You let the cat out of the bag :D I also liked Courtney on Overhaulin far better then the new girl. I don't mind small tasteful tatoos on women but somthing like that on a calf, not for me. :(

funny stuff, you would think I'm president of the Courtney Hansen fan club. (I am) In actuality I do a lot of work with the Spike TV Automotive Programming. That and the fan club stuff.........

(
Beyond being 'easy on the eyes,' Courtney was cool because she was right there working on the cars, right alongside the 'A-Team.' She scraped undercoating, smashed glass, and all manner of other cool stuff....... to me, that's a lady. :D I've only seen the new 'co-host' inside a garage once or twice - she's usually outside, sitting in the grass by the shop sign.
