How Wheels Help....
O.K. now I'v done it... It all started with the Manx Hot Wheels. Now I cant get enough. I have been buying all the (cheap) HW Manx's I can find on Ebay ( I have 12 now. 9 diff. variations). But the infection is spreading. I found myself at a Goodwill store today buying bunches of 'lil cars in the hopes of finding some rare ones. Does anyone have experence in this hobby? I would like info on things like what cars were on what numbered cards, Which ones are really collectable etc. I noticed some 2005 cars selling for around $50.00....
. And then there are the Matchbox cars....:help:
Don't do it, it will consume you! My VW/dune buggy toy collection has long surpassed the 5000 unit mark and my Hot Wheels collection is close to that. My collection was once proudly displayed in my basement now most of it is packed in boxes so I can move in my basement. I figure the collection will finance some of my retirement
No cure that I know of...unless Hotwheels makes more hideous cars like in 2005. I try to stick to buying ones that I like instead of buying all of the series cars, First Editions, etc. etc. Try and use ebay to see what is "out on the pegs". I have a lot more fun finding the cars myself and it's much cheaper than ebay. Ebay is still good for the hard to find stuff though. There are a few collector books out as well as some toy magazines with price guides. Have fun! You can find these at Barnes& Noble, Borders etc. Tomart Guide The Hotwheel Collectors page also has lots of goodies. Hotwheels Collector I just googled hotwheels and only got 1,240,000 hits, so at least you're not alone......
