What do you know about these heads

Post by jr_vw2 »

Has anyone ever ran a set of these BugPack Street Pro II heads? http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Search?catalogId=10101&storeId=10101&sku=ahq481275 I have never heard much about them. I am sure they are better than stock, but in the long run is it worth it or should I just spring for some better heads. By the way I am building a 1915 with engle W110 can and 1.25:1 roackers and dual 40mm carbs. Let me know what you guys think. thanks.

Heads

I would be wary of some BugPak products, I have had good/bad luck with them. Putting so much into a big engine, you need reliability. Myself, I went to the CB Performance heads, because of their reputation. It's all about moola. :2cents: Jimbo

I built a 1914 for a School project I was working on and I used Bug Pack heads. They look like a quality piece the only problem I had with them was I couldn't cut them deep enough to get the compression I wanted. I was shooting for 14.5:1 and the most I could cut the heads I was only able to get 13:1 out of it. The engineheads don't have alot of miles on it/them but the miles it has, have been abusive and the heads are working well. I myself would give A.J. Sims a call. I have bought many set of heads from A.J. and I have no regrets. Image
