BANNING ? A rescue team has found no sign of life at the scene of a plane crash in the San Gorgonio Wilderness. Sheriff?s spokeswoman Cindy Beavers says the plane appears to have impacted 10,400 foot high Dobbs Peak, about 2-miles east of Mt. San Gorgonio. ?The plane wreckage is described as very extensive.? The FAA?s Ian Gregor says the wreckage was that of a plane that was enroute to its home base in Hesperia on Sunday? . ?The pilot flew from San Felipe, Mexico to Calexico where he went through customs, then on to Palm Springs and from there was headed to Hesperia when the aircraft disappeared.? The mountaintop weather was described as partly cloudy and windy. No flight plan was filed, but four people were aboard the plane. Their bodies were recovered Tuesday. The coroner identified the dead as the pilot, Douglas Bowles of Hesperia, and his passengers Joshua Chlebek, 28, David Helland, 60, and Oludare Akinwunmi, 29.
