Engine Fan Shroud Screen

Looking for good ideas on attaching the debris screen to the doghouse fan shroud. (See picture below.) Is welding a sheet metal lip around the inlet hole the best way ? What about clearance to the Manx body? Does anyone know the space measurement? Thanks for any help you can give.

Roger, you could weld flat mesh over the inlet and do away with the after market debris screen. Either way cant see you having any clearance problems.

I welded a sheetmetal ring on the shroud for the screen to slip over. It has worked well for a number of years.
