Original Manx Info??

Post by flaboyjim »

I am now the owner of an original Manx body - not in shape to put on a chassis immediatly - but not far off. Can anyone help me ID it's original color, production date etc? M2178G8268 is the Serial Number.

Thanks. The solid color royal blue is under the badge. I just purchased it in Lecanto - must be correct. Now for the decision - replace my clone with this body or ???

I am still shocked that I got it. My phone has rang twice now with people wanting to buy it from me... Word must travel fast!!! Chuck (yellermanx) and I are leaving in the morning for Manassas VA to attend the Big Bug event there. I am going to beg his opinion as to what I should do.... the salesman in me says sell, the collector in me says build, the wife of mine says "YOU BOUGHT WHAT????" :help: :help: If I could find someone that I could trust and afford to fix the glass and get ready for paint, I know what I would do - but I dont. For some reason, glass work is just not my cup of tea anymore..... In a previous life with Corvettes, I got to be fairly good, but that was a long time ago, and when I had time to do it..... Sometimes LIFE is a four letter word. oh yea - so is MANX (or so my wife says..) :x
