I'm planning on tuning up my baja bug, I'm going for something a little more aggressive. Bellow, you dudes can find a list of the parts that i have in mind and plan on adding.
The tires are not dot approved; meaning you cant drive them on the street. besides that they weigh 65 pounds, that's too heavy. a 33 inch diameter tire will fit a swing axle buggy, a 31 inch tire will fit a 4-joint (CV). regular radial dot truck tires will work better, ride better, and cost less. you will be able to legally drive on/ off road. there is a lot more choices dot. I rune a 33x12.5 radial works fine even on highway at 65 mph. the exhaust your thinking of is not street legal. now I know most all aftermarket exhaust are not. they all have disclaimers for off road use only. but the stinger exhaust can be very loud. be sure to use a baffle on road. because it aims upward the sound carries, giving the off more noise. it makes police nervous. I have the Thunderbird 4 tip chrome megaphone headers with baffles. it's loud. because they point backward and not down they carry sound a good distance. I have been spoken to by the law usually once a year (that's 16 years). it happens when I do something stupid to show off, but somehow I never see the cop who is right there. otherwise use it just wanted you to be informed. all other choices look great. good luck and have a fun build
