It's very coincidental that you posted your flooring pictures now. I've been in the process of making my own duck boards for the buggy. When I traveled back from MOTF last year I drove through a lot of rain (and also on the ECV-Keys trip). Even though I have drain holes behind the seats, I still accumulate water on the floor boards and my feet get soaked. I decided I needed duck boards. Here is what I made. They are pretty simple and cheap. I have about $50 total in them. Oak slats from Lowes and some stainless screws. They are 16.5 inches wide with 5/8 inch spacer between each slat. I think they came out pretty cool. I'm guessing I'll get to try them out at this year's MOTB

I had the same wooden setup in a 73 Thing I had for years. I have a Sea Ray ski boat with these custom on the swim platform in the back but that custom wasn't cheap- I had been looking everywhere for the material then found it on eBay from China- not the exact same as on the boat but really close. And one tenth the cost from the boat- what I have noticed on my buggy is how quiet thus made the interior noise level- I really like your wood floors- they came out great!!! Takes me back to my Thing days [emoji3]
