From Winnie Meyers -
Would somebody please post on the forum that David Ehret, member #1187 passed away Wednesday, Dec 8 from a sudden heart attack. I don't really have any details other than he and his wife Allison live in Anaheim Hills and were active in the Club (I think he was only in his late 40's or early 50's). The services will be Sat, Dec 18 but one will need to call Allison at (714) 279-9020 for more information.
Always sad to lose a member of the club/family we all enjoy. My condolences to his family. Tom

My condolences to his family too.
I remember seeing and talking to Dave and his wife from the club events just this year.
Dave buggy is a red Classic Manx.
At Big Bear this year the red urethane steering coupler broke on him while driving through the line up of buggies in the camp.
I will remember him.
Dave was a great guy to be on a buggy run with.

We first met Dave and Allison at Big Bear a couple of years ago, they definetly taught us the brighter side of being the sweeper. Our sides didn't stop hurting the whole time we were around them, we laughed so hard. We didn't know Dave for very long but the time we did know him was a blast. Our heartfelt condolances go out to Allison amd the family.

I 'm so sad to hear about Dave's passing. We had just been exchanging emails regarding his membership over the past couple of weeks and his sense of humor shined through even something as mundane as that. Dave was a great guy who will be sorely missed at the club events. My thoughts are with Allison and his family.

He was too young for that! That is shocking news. They were some of the first people we met in the MC. I can't tell you how many times Dave and Allison ran sweep for us. They did it a lot. We tried to call Allison a few minutes ago but she must not have been home.

Allison returned my call this evening. She sounded pretty devastated and much appreciated those reaching out to her.
Dave's memorial will be Saturday morning, Dec 18th, 10AM, at San Antonio Church, 5800 E. Santa Anna Canyon Rd., Anaheim Hills, CA.
A get together will follow the service at their home.

Ehret, David Scott, born March 21, 1966 in Westminster, California
was suddenly taken from our lives on December 8, 2010 due to a heart
attack. He is survived by his wife, Allison; daughter, Tasha Ehret and
son, Ricardo Quiros; as well as his mother Kay Ehret, sister Mary Petersen
and brother, Robert Ehret. David was a Manufacturer's Representative
salesperson for the last 15 years. He is remembered for his great sense
of humor, always up for a good time as well as his kind manner. David's
love and zest for life was infectious and there was never a task that he
could not perform. Everyone he touched was left better for it. A memorial
service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10AM at the San
Antonio Catholic Church, 5800 East Santa Ana Canyon Road, Anaheim, CA.
