Manxter Stainless Steel Headlights

Post by dcamomanx »

At lone pine I was talking to Tom about his manxter and he mentioned that he found some S/S 5 inch headlights. My stock manxter lights are staring to rust. I was wondering if anyone knows were to find some S/S ones Also does anyone know were to get the rear view mirros for the manxter? Thanks Doran

I just order a pair of mirrors from B&K Manufacturing in Orange. I was at there shop last week and talk to Bill about Mirrors for my Manxter. Bill showed me a couple of his ideas he had for them. I am also using one of his mirrors for inside the car clamped onto the cage. I did have to sand a spot in the clamp to clear the windshield surround. Bill is looking for someone in the Orange area that has Manxter that try out different mirror ideas. BandKmfg.com (714) 997-5460

We did not find stainless steel headlights in 5 3/4" size. We bought a set of these http://www.headwinds.com/mm5/merchant.m ... e=01010101 in 4 1/2 with buggy style mounts. The housings were custom drilled to fit the angled mounts on the hood yet keep the bulb level. They come with H4 bulbs and are high / low beam legal. They haven't been mounted yet, so no finished pictures. We got real Vitaloni morrs from this place http://www.talbotco.com/vitaloni_mirrors.html . Pricy but much better than what came with the original kit. Tom

We now have the new Headwinds headlights mounted. They make 3 different "lenghts". These are the medium length. Go here - http://www.manxgallery.org/gallery/album154 to see them. The new headlights are on page 2 of the album. They are very different. so I don't think everyone will like them. Tom
