RBC Thread

Post by CairoManx »

I just saw a thread on the RBC site about the current #4 August nominee: (http://www.manxclub.com/botm-8-07/botm-8-07-4.htm) and July winner: (http://www.manxclub.com/botm-7-07/botm-7-07-1.htm) of Buggy of the month. Its the same buggy. It sounds like the new owner bought it in a reluctant sale from its previous owner just about a month a ago. Even though the new owner promised first refusal to the previous owner, if the Manx was resold, the new owner is already trying to flip it on Craigslist at a greatly marked up price. http://p066.ezboard.com/frbcdunebuggyfrm18.showMessageRange?topicID=1310.topic

Bill, How many other Manxs of your vintage with the small rear license mount, original foil sticker emblem and early windshield frame do you know of? (Other than the blue metal flake one Rick Leddon just bought) I wish there was a front shot of the April 98 Buggy of the Month. The owner recalls it was the third one made after the monocoques. http://www.lightner.net/manxclub/bugmon3.html Image

it's his buggy. let him do what he wants. looks like he'll make a bucketful of money on it as long as he's willing to sit on it for awhile. i am pretty sure the previous owner has no intrest in buying it back for 5 times the price or something.
