Bought My VW Doner

Post by MickeyUSA »

Just bought my doner yesterday and have to pick it up tonight. And just to let all the newbes know: buying a non complete Manx starts getting expensive when you have to get all the parts. It least the beetle has all the parts that I need from the doner, must will be have tobe replaced/repaired but it has the parts.

Congratulations, one step closer. Don't get rid of anything until your buggy is complete, or you will be sorry. :laugh1:

Mickey, why did you choose a Super Beetle as a donor? Doing a king-pin swap on that chassis? If so, I have a '65 chassis in the back yard with a nice framehead you can have.

Getting all the pieces and a clear title seemed a small price for the front swap (i hope).

Update: Still looking for a doner, went to pick the buggy up and the motor was siezed and there were not enough parts to use. Back to looking again.
