I find they work best to change a spinning drive wheel in soft sand rather than steering at speed. they have saved my but when almost stuck on beach when soft sand caused me to loose traction on right rear wheel. without getting out of buggy or lowering tire pressure, I held lever to drive out using left rear wheel that did have traction. I drive on a beach that has a 10 foot high tide, if your in the wrong place you lose your buggy when the tide comes in splashing waves over the top of your buggy. have fun and buggy on!
