Roll bar mounting bracket

Post by Mike1991 »

Does anyone have a picture of the Manx roll bar bottom mount L-bracket that mounts to the rear suspension braces?

Would appreciate a picture with schematic of bracket length, wideth, thickness, holesizes.

Thanks

Have you talked to Winnie at Meyers Manx?

She may have some she could sell to you.

Here's a pic of one. When making them I've always found it best to bend and drill to suit the car as they're all slightly different. On a standard one the bottom (mounts to suspension) one is slotted.

You can see them on the board here as well...

You should always use these brackets when you mount a roll bar. They tie the roll bar to the chassis versus mounting the roll bar only to the fiberglass body. Bruce Meyers and I had a conversation about them and he strongly recommended adding them if you currently have a roll bar installed.

Regardless if you use the brackets, do not count on the single hoop bar to protect you in anything but a slow roll over. Any amount of speed will just fold the hoop over, rendering it useless for protection.

Well stated Mike.

A single hoop could be titanium, but it won't protect your cranium.
