off road air cleaner filtration

Post by lastmanx »

if you have a 3 inch body lift you have room to use the stock oil bath air cleaner. I use a stock pict-31 carb, the stock air filter has the proper 3 inch standoff built in to atomize air fuel. the idea is to cut out the steel mesh on the lid, then with new shop vac hose plumb to a K&N 2 stage filter. the stock filter has a connection for the crank case breather hose. so you now have a completely closed sand proof air filter system. it has worked for 32,000 miles on my Manx SS. it's not fancy ; it's not expensive; but it works reliably. if your handy try it.431743184319
