Carb help!!

Post by 70BURRO »

I just replaced my old Solex single carb with a new single Weber 40 for my 1835 cc VW engine. I've heard that you need to re-jet the Weber. Does anybody have any recommendtaions?

70Burro, I'm also running a single 40 Weber IDF on an 1835, here's what I'm using. F11 emulsion tube 70 idle jet Main Jet (?) I?m not sure but I think it might be a 75. Other people using this same set up differ on the emulsion tube in that they run a F7, it just didn?t work for me. Bob K

Here are a couple sites that you can look over that might help with your baseline Weber setup. http://www.cbperformance.com/weberjetdoctor.html http://www.racetep.com/webtechpage.html
