I just wanted to introduce myself and my buggie as we are brand new to the Manx Club.

My Name is Barry D and I live in Laughlin, NV i have lived here for 25+ years. In 1994 I saw this little rag a muffin red DULL metal flake buggie, see image above, for sale on the main drag of Laughlin... Needles Hwy population at the time was about 3000 full time residents. I liked it because it had low sides and was easy to get into and out of plus it had these little arms that you could rest your arm on and it was longer then the average buggie plus a back seat and I loved the top. So, I ended up buying it. Did not know what kind of dune buggie it was never saw one like this before. Thought it was some kind of home made buggie? I fixed it up, had it painted, had the motor rebuilt, put some wheels and tires on it and I installed a cool exhaust system and added some lights. So, after I did the upgrades and used it a little bit. very little, it basically sat in the garage. So after sitting in the garage for about 10 years I got the hair up my A*s to try and figure out what kind of buggie it was and to see if it was home made or some company made it. I knew there was this metal plate just below the back seat and it had some numbers on it R0075F010E. Also, I could see B F some thing or other on the right and a bird with a sword on the left VERY FADED. I went to Samba.com joined so I could ask a question if any body knew what these numbers meant and submitted a picture I got back R = Resorter, 0075 = # 75 in production, F = June, 0 = 1970 & 10E is the color code. Plus this person said he got the info from manx club web site and Meyers Manx.com web site So I went to those sites and found every thing I was looking for and then some. So, after another 10 years went by, yep it is still parked in the garage, I just registered it with the Meyers Max registry and joined the max club. So, that is our story Pleased to meet every one!

Welcome Barry! I hope you join us at the Rock'n the River event at the Riverside Casino and the Landon's house in Bullhead City. It's just a few weeks away on March 13th through the 15th. I hope I get a chance to meet you and see your Resorter in person.
