Sorry guys, It doesn't get any better with the kids. Mine are 14 and 16 now and between dance recitals and soccer games, it's hard to work on the car. I would not trade the kids for anything though, and I will find the time to keep working. I'm not as far along as I would have hoped, but the car will get done. At least I have a nice pan now.

Ok, if that is a current photo then we should have an assembly race?! 8-) I had assumed you were using an existing Manx not building one from scratch. That's awesome.

I was a knucklehead and got frustrated because (again not being a Vw guy and this is my first vw platform project) I didn't know what to do with these torsion covers i bought and the suppler said "knock the spacers off"! Duh!

Great looking pan. Hope we all have progress over the holiday season. -- Eric

Well, I'm in!

Had to finagle a few things, but I'll be supporting you from the pavement, or in any other way I can help. It's too bad I don't have a car to enter, but maybe its time to beef up the Dune Kat a little bit for entry next year :-)

Hey Todd . . .Can a SubaruGears reverse five speed work with the Ecotek?

For those of you running NORRA, just curious what you all are doing for fuel tanks/fuel-cells?

In a separate thread, quite awhile back, I asked the membership if anyone had a check valve solution for rollovers and I got no feedback. I'm running a standard '68 OEM tank that has been boiled and sealed and a non-vented cap and then will be using something like this for the little side-expansion vent with rollover. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-220020

Just curious what everyone else's approach is. Thanks -- Eric

since my tank will be in the rear of passenger compartment I went with Fuel Safe fuel cell.

I will be running a stock tank mounted up front under the hood with a vent line that passes around up by the windshield and then back down. I don't think the stock tank will be an issue as it is allowed for Class 11.

Well we've made some progress, even had the father of the fiberglass buggy give us a helping hand. Thanks Bruce!

Ok, we now have a roller, almost done, RIGHT!
4583

NOT! now we've gone backwards as it's been torn down and is out for powder coating.

I guess it's still progress!

Mocked up my body this AM, had my wife help!

Ready for cage work next weekend.

The huge tires and 3" body lift make it WAY higher than i anticipated.
