Well, that is a pretty bold statement.

Good thing Dr. Zarkov and his Bro built 10, or 12 or heck, lost count. The field will be thick to wade through.

We "Canadians" are a bold culture! Sounds like a quantity versus quality issue.

Just a reminder that tomorrow, 30 Sept, is the last day for you to early register for the MOTB 2015. All registrations after this date will have to be completed onsite during the event at a cost of $50. There are no guarantees that we will have any event shirts available for late/onsite registrations.

Check the website and agenda over the next couple of weeks as we'll be adding additional information and updates.

See you on the Banx.

The Quantity will find out if the Quality is a one hit wonder, or repeatable.

One of our event sponsors has come through big for us. Here are two wiring harnesses that Rebel Wiring has donated for our silent auction on Saturday night. Find your kid's piggy bank and bust that baby open.

A lot of cool stuff going to be given away and auctioned off this year.

I will be trying for one of those wiring harnesses.

I will be bidding on the other. I need two, but I won't be greedy. [emoji4] [emoji4] [emoji4]

Tim: What hurricane protocol?

We won't be there until 4-6 days after Joaquin blows thru. That will be plenty of time for the locals to have cleaned everything up.

I just looked at the forecast and Joaquin is looking for a direct hit on OBX, on Sunday the 3rd, but that will change and we have 10 days for the change. By then it will have blown thru New England and back out into the North Atlantic.

Worst case scenario is we have to turn the valve cover racers over and have a regatta with them.
As long as they have sand on the beach, I plan on being there.

Joe

Hurricane Joaquin Forecast

Forecast Revisions
10/01/15, The latest forecast has Joaquin staying about 200 miles out to sea, and passing OBX on Monday the 4th.
Personally, I think it is going to wander around for a couple of days and then head to the northeast, staying out to sea.

10/02015, Forecast today indicates that Joaquin has jumped onto a fast track for the North Atlantic.
This usually means that we will have a normal weather week for the OBX event.
OBX has dodged the bullet again.
Get out the pulled pork, cold beer, and whatever else you fancy, the party is about to begin.

If you are heading through West Virginia on your way to MOTB, think about joining up with the BTTB crew. Right now we are expecting 13 to 14 buggy's traveling together in the group out of Charleston WV on Sunday Morning to Nags Head NC. Should be another great Manx Club adventure!

Hey Joe, don't be sending that thing in my direction! LOL Kathleen is in the Norfolk, VA area right now, trying to figure out what to do. I am telling her to run away, go west old lady. It will be interesting how this works out. Tom

Joe, that's the funnest thing you've ever said  That's some "out of the box thinking" right there.

Seriously though. We haven't canceled an MOTB to-date. We have operated in less than desirable conditions, but buggy people are robust and endeavored on - with a smile on their face. Activities have had to be re-ordered in the past and if that is needed again we will make those decisions on game-day.

Bottom line, this is life on the coast. You take what our good Mother Nature hands you and go with it.

<Reposted from Facebook> It's time to boogie on the banx!!! Early registration and shirt orders are now closed. Do not mail in any registration forms in as they will not be accepted. If you would like to attend the MOTB and you haven't registered, you can register on-site during the event at a higher cost. A lot of new information has been posted on the event website so please have a look. There are packing checklists so you don't forget anything, guidelines on what you can expect, and much more. The MOTB event website is here: http://www.manxonthebanx.com

For the first-time visitors to the OBX (that's code for Outer Banks), here is a map of the coverage area that most of us will see during the MOTB (side note: Joe Wheeler is leading a group down to Ocracoke. That trip is not an official activity of the MOTB but side trips like that are highly encouraged as part of your "play-cation".).
