Looking forward to MOTB '15! By then I will need a break from retirement.

I have a long list of items to get done too. On the ECVW trip, Darlene took a liking to John and Charlie's Roof Bag they had on top of their buggy. So, I have bought a weather tight roof bag, tubing and will need to complete a roof rack for the buggy.

Project X is taking shape nicely. Axles came in the mail today. Hope to have done in the next two weeks.

Project XX, Buggy's To The Banx is posted up and people have started contacting me to join in the fun of a cruise together.

Project XXX will take shape in two to three weeks, and will be a crazy one! I cannot believe I took this one on.

And, I have a buggy to complete, sew a custom surround for David's Moss Manx, put seat heaters in my Manx, stuff around the house. So, a vacation will be welcome.

See you guys soon!!!

Our plea for donations is being heard (and we still need more). In addition to individual club member donations, we have had a great response from our existing sponsors, TJ Kustoms, Island Cruisers, Travelodge Outer Banks, and Driftwood Gallery. So far this year we have added Rebel Wire and Buggy Spirit to the sponsor list.

Please visit the event website: http://www.manxonthebanx.com and click on our sponsor's links for more information about their products and services.

But, on a serious note, did you see the news last night? Some one broke into Dr. Zarkov's Fab Lab and set off a bomb. This morning the Dr. found the remnants of a glitter bomb all over everything.

As Joe mentioned, Dr. Zarkov's lab was vandalized last night! However, before the evil Ming The Merciless was able to capture Project X, Dr. Zarkov secured away his projects. Here are a few secret photos that have been leaked of Project X. There are more photos at: http://www.manxonthebanx.com"

Don't miss out on the opportunity to own your very own Project X!!!!!

As a result of Dr. Zarkov's extensive research and the feedback we have received from the Hendrick Motorsports' team (who knew they were into VW Valve Cover racing?) our VW Valve Cover Rules and Guidelines have been updated. If you are building a racer for the MOTB please take a minute to review the rules. The changes have been highlighted in yellow. Please visit http://www.manxonthebanx.com"

Here are some examples of other racers that people have built:

In case you were wondering what VC racing looked like, this should give you an idea:

You guys have this in the bag.

Brings back memories of MOTB '12. 1 week before leaving, I buy a buggy that was "Done" and ready to go. Ha Ha Ha! NOT!

Before I started working on my "new" buggy, I bent, welded and painted a cage for my Buddy Keith in his dark Blue buggy.

Then with 3 days left, I pulled the body off the pan, welded the cracked chassis, replaced the 4 ball joints that were ready to pop out, new tie rod ends. Since only the front left brake worked, re-did the entire brake system, cut off the welded-to-the-chassis fuel tank and made a new one with a custom filler through the existing hole in the hood, sealed it. Re-mounted the seats so my 6'2" frame could fit. Then bent a custom roll cage, painted it and installed it. Pulled off the LOUD un-baffled cannon's and made a custom exhaust.

Only problem was Keit had to adjust his clutch cable and I had a brake switch short and keep my brake lights on all the time. Had a blast on our first MOTB!

You guys will make it and have a epic adventure.

Today I made a trip to Dr. Zarkov's Secret Fabrication Lair in the WV mountains and picked up some items for MOTB '15.
