I just got confirmation that Bruce and Winnie have officially been invited to Carlisle Import Kit Nationals on May 15-17, 2015!

I know many of you have already demonstrated interest in attending this year's show.

It's a mixed event and it covers both Imports and Kit cars which means you get Volvos, Audi, BMW, etc on the Imports side and Cobras, Dune Buggies, etc on the Kit side. They have a goal to beat their record of 1,501 cars (Actually set a 2,000 car goal).

We have a group of 20 to 30 buggies that normally show up depending on the year.

France has been working hard on planning some of the possible activities for Carlisle while we wait to thaw a little over here in Frozen North...

Remember all these are purely optional and voluntary. There's absolutely no obligations for you to follow.

Friday
Leave the fairground at 4:00pm and drive to the Troegs Brewery. They have a free Taste Tour but we'll have to reserve... After the tour, we would drive to the 'other' brewery called: Appalachian Brewing Company for dinner. This is the same brewery we went to last year. It's located at 50 North Cameron Street, Harrisburg, PA and it's about 25 minutes drive. After dinner, drive back to Fairground for some Spik-ins and movies?

Saturday
Leave fairgrounds around 3:00pm for a pre-planned street cruise of about 50 miles to Kings Gaps. We planned for a few bathroom breaks and should be back at the Fairgrounds around 5:30pm - 6:00pm... We're thinking of making a reservation to the same restaurant as last year: Marcello’s Risorante & Pizzeria situé au 900 Cavalry Road • Carlisle, PA 17013-1622 •717-258-1222 for around 6:30pm - 7:00pm. We'll need to get an approx. number (and we'll add a few spares - lol). We can finish the night at the Fairgrounds with more Spik-ins (assuming we still have supplies

Vincent - I told Ed B. I would be taking care of the "gathering" tent. I will need a check from the club. I will let you know when I get the application form. I can also take care of the restaurant. Tom

Update 2/26/15 - I just received and email from Ed B. - "I may have failed to mention in my previous email that clubs who participate in the Club Tent Program at the Import & Kit Nationals are also eligible for FREE vending spaces. The number of free spaces are based on your tent size as follows: 2."

Important: France and I would like to tour the Troegs Brewery in Hershey on Friday afternoon (15th) and we've made reservation for 10 people (max per group). We'd like to get an idea how many would like to join us. We can always make a 2nd reservation but we have to do it soon... Places fill up quickly. Here's the tour info: Troegs Brewery Cost is $5.00/pers - we pay at the door.

What time frame would the brewery tour be? Not sure how early we will be out there on Friday as of yet, but both Craig and I will definitely be there for dinner regardless.

We've made the 1st reservation for 5:30pm and we have to pay 15 mins before tour starts. We will try to arrive just after 5:00pm.

It will be early afternoon when I make it there Friday. I will pass on the tour so I can cruise the show since I have never been to it. But will plan on having dinner with the group.
