Hi Mark and Carol, here's what we have so far for the Pacific route...

Starting from Mt Shasta (July 7th), we'll be heading down the 5 to the 505 to the 80 Across the Richmond-San Rafael bridge to cross the Golden Gate bridge.

Once in SF, we'll try to get a photo op on Lombard St. and we plan to spend some time near the port (pier 45).

Then we're heading to Salinas for the evening (Holiday Inn)

We leave the next morning (July 8th) on the PCH to Big Sur, Julia Pfeiffer park, and Pismo beach then to our hotel in Anaheim.

Not sure if this makes any sense but that's the route so far that we've coded in our GPS.
I hope I got the dates right... It's pretty confusing with arrival dates and hotel dates on the same map...

Is your Buggy ready for the adventure?! I had a "moment" yesterday when France said: "Next time we're in the country (where we store our buggies), we'll have to drive it back to the city because we leave for the trip." She goes on to say: "You'll have 1 day to finish packing tools and get everything ready."

I swallowed and though, ok... I guess we're ready... I mean we're driving to Buffalo and back (1,000+ miles) then leaving for 7,600 miles! How much preparation does one really need anyways?!

Then I took a sip of my beer and realized she was referring to the Carlisle "shakedown" trip.

Don't let the start of this trip sneak up on you and get your maintenance done now:
- Fuel filter and hose check
- Oil change
- Valve adjustment
- Alt belt check
- Plug wires
- Rotor & cap inspection
- Wheel bearings
- Brake fluid flush
- Buy sunflower seeds
- Anything else you think may require attention

I was wondering , how many people are taking this trip ? I know some Californians are driving back home with the group so how many are making the return trip back east with the group ?

Darlene and Myself along with David Cash and his Daughter, Shannon will come out of West Virginia after Work to spend the night around Canton OH on 6-30-15. Then join the group just West of Cleveland OH mid-morning on 7-1-15. Follow along to Big Bear. Follow along back to somewhere East of La Clair Iowa, then make a Bee-Line South East to Indy, and then home to WV.

Joe Wheeler & David Cash - the hotel in the Santa Barbra area on July 8th will be the Best Western Plus South Coast Inn in Goleta, CA. Kathleen & I have stayed here before and it was very nice and close to downtown Santa Barbra. We will have to figure out what to do the next day before getting to Big Bear. Tom
