Ancient Manxmania Tech Article???

I remember from the early days of Manxmania someone's tech article about gear rod/ selecter coupling alignment using an oxy/ acetelene torch and vise grips ( my kind of tech!!!). Does anyone remember which issue it was in? Thanks Guys!!!
