More interweeb digging and I came up with this footage:

As expected, getting a message to and from Bahia de los Angeles is pretty much down to smoke signals...

From the tourist office of Bahia de los Angeles...
Telephone: There are no 'land lines' in Bahia de los Angeles, and the current satellite connection is different than what you'll be used to in the States. Most noticeable will be the signal lapse which can make back & forth communication challenging and expensive.

Internet: As with the phone, internet connections in Bahia de los Angeles are satellite based. Along with this, come bandwidth restrictions & considerations. This is adequate for checking email via web, but not for viewing streaming video or other such content.

At least the participants hopefully got a good meal last night...

Chef Roberto Alcocer tweeted:
Swamped @ the office cc @checogutierrez @ Bahia De Los Angeles - Hotel Costa Del Sol https://instagram.com/p/18ULOgv9mk/

Chef Roberto Alcocer, considered by many to be one of Mexico's best chefs, will add a culinary touch to the 2015 General Tire NORRA Mexican 1000. Alcocer will be preparing a gourmet dinner for all NORRA participants in Bay of Los Angeles' newly created "Cantina San Borja."

Unfortunatly, none of my call outs resulted in any meaningful information. I did get a few response but they all confirmed that BolA is completely disconnected from the rest of the world...

Our best bet so far is to keep an eye on the live tracking monitor any movement.

Great news, Team Tow'd is at the start of the Special C22-D2SS1! It's 42 miles of racing.

Looks like Team Manxter is still at camp but their transponder has not updated yet. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the update Bud, work got in the way... I also have a call out to someone who's taken video footage and they should be sharing shortly.

Caught a picture of the other Manxter DS on Twitter. Not sure if they're running the course though...

Donna Acord Landon Just got off the ph with Mark and PM-ing with LoriAnn again - Replacing throttle cable in DS no big deal and then back on the road . They had to pull the motor and trans on the DS last nite , now fixed : ) and fix the clutch cable on the Tow'd last nite. Both buggies are up and RACING . Mark has taken over driving on this next part with Jon Paola navigating. : )

As previously reported by our ladies, team DS is right along side the Tow'd. Ignore the DS' online tracking... They may have unplugged a wire while swapping the clutch last night.
