Help Determine: Chevy or Ford Pattern

Post by rzeller »

Here are my dumb questions of the week: how do I determine what lug pattern my wheel adaptors are? I am ready to replace the adaptors with drilled drums but I need to know whether my wheels are Chevy or Ford. Additionally, when measuring the lug distance do I measure from outside edge to the inside edge of the 2nd stud (not the next stud over)? Or do you measure from outside edge to center of the 2nd stud? I've seen it described both ways. Thanks for the help. Bud

All, I want to share with you some information that Tim (tgodber) found and sent to me. This is the comprehensive measuring and pattern matching I was looking for. I hope it might be of some use to you. Thanks Tim. Bud HOW TO MEASURE YOUR BOLT PATTERN 4-LUG Measure center to center of two holes directly across from each other. 5-LUG Measure from the center on one hole to the BACK of the third hole. This is the easiest way to estimate a 5-lug bolt circle. 6-LUG Measure center to center of two holes directly across from each other. 8-LUG Measure center to center of two holes directly across from each other.
