Insurance

Post by DuneBugFever »

Who can direct me to the cheapest dune buggy insurance? Have always had Hagerty for my classical cars, but they just informed me they don't insure dune buggies....they insure motorcycles including VW powered trikes! But NO to dune buggies. Our daily driver cars are insured with Allstate, who is out of their mind on insuring a vehicle driven less than 1000 miles a year as a pleasure only vehicle....They will only insure it as a 71 VW Beetle and want as much as my 05 Cadillac STS.... 389.00 every six months! So who out there insures these buggies? For this type vehicle and no more use than they get....insurance should be no more than $200 a YEAR! Thanks for any help!

I have my buggy insured through Mercury Insurance. It's relatively cheap. Of course I drove the car nearly every day last year.
