For anyone interested, there's some new pics of the project updated 5th Dec now on
http://corvairdunebuggy.com/ Martin just phoned to say his after some chrome trim to go around the windshield, if anyone knows of anything. Nelson, I was in a rush and forgot to tell Martin about the name mistake, so your have to just put up with being Nigel for a little longer.

Woolies do some that fits up to 3.5mm that may stretch with a bit of hot water? They also do self adhesive strip that'll maybe give the right 'illusion' if stuck around the rim. Just a thought...

Hi manxdavid. Thanks for details on woolies. Think it is a bit to small but will contact them to see if I can get a sample. Martin

Mel, Martin just emailed me. I'm not nigel anymore. I told him I'd try to track down a pair of original Select-A-Traction handles to use as a sample for a copy. I'm pretty sure that's what was used.
Hi Mel Thanks for the quiet word about the sudden name change, and many apologies to Nelson. martin
Hi Martin, glad you made it here. You could try
http://www.automobiletrim.com/edge-trim-plastic.html I think they say up it will go to 3.5mm but may be worth a try. If you happen to buy a roll of that trim and it works out too small, just let me know and I will buy it from you, as I think I'd have a use for it. Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to seeing it all done and going for a blast in it.

Welcome Martin, I posted your latest update on the Facebook Fan Club page too. The group of us that love the Queen Manx look will bump into each other on 3 or 4 different sites now

I'm still hoping that Pete Condos' grandaughter might come thru with some newly found photos for us all! Dan

Hi Dan Hope you are well. Would be great if there were some more detailed pictures of the car. I am waiting on the guy from Hawaii who was going to see the original car - I will chase him up to see if he managed to get some pictures Martin corvairdunebuggy.com
