MANX CLUB MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED - NO EXECPTIONS $40.00* - Registration Fee (per buggy or persons without buggy) with pre-registration. Per R.V. or Tent Site per night dry camping– no hookups available Sorry, no discounts for partial stay. LOCATION: CAMP TANDA - 40005 Lakeview Dr., Big Bear Lake, CA. This camp is located about 3 miles east of the Big Bear Dam on the South side of the lake. From I-10, take the #330/Mountain Resorts exit. At Running Springs follow the signs (Hwy #18) - 17 miles to the Big Bear Lake Dam. Turn right, crossing the dam, staying on #18 (Big Bear Blvd.) 3.4 miles. Watch for the “Log Cabin” restaurant on the left, at the corner of Big Bear Blvd. & Edgemoor. Turn left, two streets past Edgemoor on Forest. Angle right on Arroyo. Make a hard left at Lakeview into Camp Tanda. If you’ve traveled up Hwy #38, continue on Big Bear Blvd. to Forest, turn right, Angle right on Arroyo & make a hard left at Lakeview into Camp Tanda. ARRIVAL: The camp will open to us AFTER 1:00 PM, Fri. July 10 – Please…No earlybirds! FACILITIES: Restrooms and showers on site. Limited RV parking. Unlimited camping under the pine trees - Children’s playground - Downtown Big Bear a mile away - dozens of restaurants, shops & gas available - Motels & campgrounds nearby if you prefer. ADVISEMENTS: A Forest Service “Adventure Pass” is advisable. One can be purchased at the Discovery Center in Big Bear or at major Sporting Goods stores. CB’s are required. Prepare a sack lunch for the trail on Saturday. Due to recent fire restrictions campfires, open flames or BBQ’s not permitted at the campground. Cigarettes to be extinguished in ashtrays only. Speed limit in camp is 5 MPH. Pets must be on a leash. Because of the tradition of its founders alcohol, drugs and profanity are not permitted by Camp Tanda. Please do not throw “empties” in the camp trash. Quiet hours 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please abide by the rules set by Camp Tanda. TRAILS and RATINGS: We will have three different types of trails running simultaneously on Saturday. Scenic Cruisers (pavement only) Average Adventurers (medium to little difficulty) Thrill Seekers (most difficult). Those opting for the most difficult trail must have a skid plate and a working emergency brake. The Average Adventurers (who are of course anything but average) will be divided among several different trails. SATURDAY NIGHT DINNER: 5:30 pm-8:30 pm B’s Backyard Bar-B-Que 350 Alden Rd., Downtown Big Bear Choice of smoked chicken or shredded pork sandwich. Includes tossed green salad, potato salad, coleslaw, BBQ baked beans. Coffee, tea, or soda and dessert of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce.
