Taller rear bump stops!

Post by Gene-C »

I want to lower the rear suspension and set it for a 2" travel max before hitting the wheel well, of my soon to be lowered street buggy. The idea is to make or buy bump stops that are taller than the stock ones that will allow for the pivot arm to stop mm's clear/before the wheel rubs the fender. Any ideas?

The early VW Bus bump stops can be used instead of the short cone shaped ones that came with the stock swingaxle beetles. These resemble a snowman but made of black rubber. Popular with drag racing beetles as they limit the rear end from squatting down on take-off. These pop onto the original brackets. I've never seen them made of urethane however. I've got a pair on my IRS trailing arms too. John.
