Very nice collection of buggies he has. I like the way he recessed the fuel filler cover in the hood of the Manx. I can remember seeing Tim at Fiberjet in Roseville, CA in the early 70s working on the BeachComer plug (yellow buggy) when I was a teenager. It is could to see that they are still out there.

I first looked at this guy's website several years ago. It appears his fiberglass addiction has intensified to full-blown epidemic proportions! But what the heck, it could be worse! He does do excellant work! I agree Joseph, that recessed fuel cap on the Manx hood is way cool!

Is this a white liner he has in here or just paint? Image

I wonder where this guy lives. I'm going to be out at OBX late this summer (and I'm towing my buggy down). Would love to stop by his place.

Everyone thanks for the kind words!! I have been out of the loop for a while and have thinned down the projects so that all I have now is my completed blue Manx and an SR that I have as a project. I am married and have just celebrated my 23rd anniversary. (I have a great and understanding wife.) Here is a link to how I did the recessed fuel door: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewto ... ght=surfnc Here is a link to the build thread on the blue Manx: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewto ... ght=surfnc If anyone is down here (OBX) over the Summer let me know and we can get together. If it is around Fourth of July it would be great to be in the Duck parade, I think that I was the only buggy in it last year and I got a great response from everyone. I will be at the Carlisle show in May and had a great time last year and presented Bruce with the "Kick-Out" board then. Vince PS: The website is very "Cheesy", I did it in my spare time 5 years ago and just use the extra storage space to hold photos!

Thanks SurfNC.. I've been PMing you on the samba too... are you bringing your buggy up to Carlisle? I'm coming down to OBX the second week in September, hopefully the weather holds out.
