Pismo Beach Hotel

I've stayed at Cottage Inn by the Sea, Spyglass Inn, and Edgewater Inn a few times and have always had good luck.  However, all of them are usually over $100.  (I think Cottage Inn has a special of $115 or something but you have to ask for it.)

Another option that used to cost about $100 a night was to get one of the "Kabins" at the KOA Kampground in Avila beach.  It's about 5 minutes up the coast, but you can park right next to the cabin and you're amongst other campers who generally watch out for each other.  You might also try Pismo Coast Village, which is a campground, not a hotel. I believe they have an arrangement with a trailer rental company that'll come and set up a trailer on one of the campsites and charge you for the rental of the trailer and campground space combined.  I have no idea what it costs, but I'd hope it would be less than a hotel room.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.  Have a great trip Stuart!

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. Its a little further from the dunes (grover beach), but the rooms are remodeled and clean. The parking lot is small so its easy to keep an eye on the buggy.  We liked it and would stay there again the next time we want to go to pismo. Doran

Pismo Coast Village is a very nice RV park. When we go to Pismo, that is were we stay. They will set up a trailer for you on a spot, but that is an extra charge for the trailer, and an extra charge to have it towed and set up in the space. The waiting list to get in is often around 6 months for a spot during the summer, so if you are interested, call asap (If it's last minute, they often have cancellations, so give 'em a call).
