Re: Fastest Buggy Around ..... Meyers Manx Kick-Out Tradiona
Very nice, what was the total build time after kit and original frame were in hand? We work on 100hrs for a complete build from donor to drive out so that is 2 1/2 weeks. It often blows out due to external issues but the hours stay about the same just the time line slips. We usually allow 12 weeks ...

Re: Manx wiring harness options?
FWIW (for the group) I was pleased with the work that Brad/Nate did on my pan and I did not know they offered wire loom options when I bought the set up on eBay. On my '69 Early Bronco project back in 2009 I bought a painless wiring set up. On my '69 Manx project I wanted to use a Manx specialist. ...

Re: Bruce Meyers signature Decals
Hi I'm looking for a Bruce Meyers signature picture to make decals on my dashboard. http://i84.servimg.com/u/f84/11/73/86/04/bruce_10.jpg Why ?? Bruce has no issues in signing stuff you send to him or meet up with him at a show. To suggest it is ok to get a decal of his signature is not a good idea...

Re: Manx wiring harness options?
Ok firstly they are offering their looms at a price point I could never get to and the cost of the materials I put into a loom is more than what they are charging. The reason I point this out isn't because I need the work but because people need to understand that you get what you pay for. They are ...

Re: Fastest Buggy Around ..... Meyers Manx Kick-Out Tradiona
One of the issues I always seem to have is WTF do I do with the rear number plate on the kick-out .... simple question but no real solution. That is of course until now with the TurnKeyManx rear Number Plate mounting thingy :) http://www.meyersmanx.info/ManxInfoGallery/var/resizes/Meyers-Manx-Kickou...

Re: Fastest Buggy Around ..... Meyers Manx Kick-Out Tradiona
In regards to wiring there are a few small tricks to making your life easy, here are two of them If you are using a Manxter Style front bar and it has the indicator tabs on it http://www.meyersmanx.info/ManxInfoGallery/var/resizes/Meyers-Manx-Kickout/Kick-Out-Traditional/KO-1-of-2016/P1040481.JPG Th...

Re: Fastest Buggy Around ..... Meyers Manx Kick-Out Tradiona
The TurnKeyManx fuse panel is designed to flip up when working on it so you simply sit it in place and start wiring it all up. As you go your group stuff and make it look as neat as possible. http://www.meyersmanx.info/ManxInfoGallery/var/resizes/Meyers-Manx-Kickout/Kick-Out-Traditional/KO-1-of-2016...

Re: Fastest Buggy Around ..... Meyers Manx Kick-Out Tradiona
So with the body ready to go on we can look at the next step which is bolting it down. To do this we like to use the factory pan holes so we remove the body and start on the pan. With the body on you can't see the factory holes so you need to either drill from under side which sucks or make it so yo...

Re: Fastest Buggy Around ..... Meyers Manx Kick-Out Tradiona
With the pan done it is time to fit the body, now this in itself brings its own issues. We start by putting the pan together as shown complete with wheels. Once that is done we sit the body on the pan http://www.meyersmanx.info/ManxInfoGallery/var/resizes/Meyers-Manx-Kickout/Kick-Out-Traditional/KO-...

Re: Fastest Buggy Around ..... Meyers Manx Kick-Out Tradiona
The floor pan is now on its way to being done which is a good thing since we are into the last 48 hrs of the build. http://www.meyersmanx.info/ManxInfoGallery/var/resizes/Meyers-Manx-Kickout/Kick-Out-Traditional/KO-1-of-2016/P1040412.JPG We have the engine in place and the wheels fitted up. http://w...

Re: Fastest Buggy Around ..... Meyers Manx Kick-Out Tradiona
While the pan was getting finished it was time to start on the loom. Although there are a number of looms people seem to use in Buggies I prefer to make my own as all the ones I have seen are a compromise and leave gaps in areas. By doing it in house we can control the quality and make sure we are h...

Re: Fastest Buggy Around ..... Meyers Manx Kick-Out Tradiona
BRAD.... question....Why do you NOT install a Sway-A-Way center adjuster in the rear torsion housing of cars that will still use torsion bars ??.....THIS was one of the better mods. we made when constructing my Class 11 Bug !! Just curious...cost prohibitive ( $ 300, just for part) You do great wor...

How DO you bleed those rear calipers with the bleeder down?
You take them off and flip them on to the top on the rotor.
You bleed them once or twice in a life time, you look at and use them everyday .

Re: Fastest Buggy Around ..... Meyers Manx Kick-Out Tradiona
Wow the days are flying by and it seems updates have been as fast as I would have liked. It is amazing how much effort it takes to keep pictures and info flowing when you are trying to stay on track with the build. Anyway ... So we had the buggy laid out and where inspecting it all to make sure we h...
