I called the BLM office in El Centro, and the lady assured me that the law is for side by sides.  Our buggies are not affected.  I got the feeling she's been getting a lot of calls like mine!

I have an email in with the BLM asking about this. If I don't hear back soon, I will give them a call. I'll update this thread once I get the official scoop.

Yeah, Barstow!  I love it out in that area (both to the north and to the south).  Now that winter is finally here it's been all about the dirt bikes, but I would love to join you guys for a buggy run.  I just need to finish putting the hood back on after replacing the leaky filler neck hose.

I must say that I agree with you guys as far as most of the EMPI stuff goes. The muffler is the only part that's giving me trouble, and I kind of want to keep the rest of the system the same because I already welded a fitting on the pipe that the muffler attaches to for the intake manifold heat rise...

I will be doing something like this over the winter. I have the EMPI Baja style exhaust, and the muffer that came with it has some cracks forming at the tab that connects it to the flange for support. I'm thinking of going with an even quieter muffler. Any suggestions?

Will these eventually be available in different colors, or can they only be made in batches of one color at a time? I'm sure most folks would like to match the color of their buggy if possible.

It's amazing they lasted as long as they did.  I think it's awsome how you guys were able to repair it enough to get moving again.  I already replaced the ball joints on my Manx, and they had less than 40,000 miles on them.  The boots were torn, and I could detect play.  No doubt the originals from ...
