Re: New motor troubles 1904 Weber progressive & Magnaspark d

Assume carb set correct idel out from close 1.5-2 turns. Throutle plate shut then open say one turn. Now mess with timing. I think you are lean try advancing till it runs or bounces off starter. After you get it running dont go over 30 degress total advance

Re: Getting in and out of Buggy easily

A lot of people move roll cage connecting bars in. So you can just stand up. Some with roofs hinge them from windshields and use back hatch extenders to hold up.
Post a picture of your car. I am sure ideas will come.

Re: Found a Manx2?

Paul you are correct about cracking. I just think from motor to trans mount would look better. I am still happy with what I have and just got some tube separators.
Say how is that Toad of yours doing?

Re: Found a Manx2?

Hi Paul
You can buy S.S. tubing and AN fittings. So instead of braided S.S. tubing you can run hard lines. For example oil lines from engine to filter could be hard lines if filter was mounted to engine or trans. Less money and maybe cleaner looking. Both have there good and bads.4737

Re: Where to install a remote oil cooler

4734 There's mine. Out of engine to fan switch, thermostat if hot on to cooler then back through filter and into motor. 6" fan on cooler, #8an lines. If it still had flat fiberglass body it would bolt with the 1"tall rubber isolators from Empi. Venting on engine is both valve covers, fuel...

Rugged buggy

Could someone post or direct me to more info on the 4x4 buggy used in the latest news letter? It's a great article on radios, but the blue buggy is even more interesting.

Re: Opinion of Value?

Buy it and get started. Starting is the hardest part. You will most likely replace everything in time anyway. Thats fun too. Always something to make better on a bug. No single part is very expensive even a new body is less than paint.
