Manx SR2 Build
Finished much needed work inside the tube. Shortened and re-attached the emergency brake cable tubes as well as all four heater cable tubes. I may not use all the heater cable tubes, but now I have the option if I decide too in the future. 3439 Shortened the shift tube and routed the clutch and thro...

Re: Manx SR2 Build
One of my frame horns was bent up slightly. Maybe from a previous accident?? I have read many articles from Google and TheSamba that tell about frame horns bending down, usually on Baja cars and buggies from jumping etc. I squared everything up and reinforced with heavy-wall channel. Very strong now.

Manx SR2 Build
Final pieces removed. 2991 I am going to leave the dash panel installed. There is really no reason for me to remove it. I will, however, replace all the rusty screws with stainless fasteners. 2992 I think I am finally at a turning point. It's time to start the cleanup and reassembly. If anyone knows...

Re: Manx SR2 Build
That's a great idea. I would love to see some pictures of that. I, however, will probably leave the top as originally designed. I want this car to be a little warmer ride than my classic buggy with the option to close it up with the targa top if the weather goes south. I absolutely love my classic b...

Manx SR2 Build
2977 I have to completely disassemble the body to remove it from this old swingaxle pan. The bodysides wrap underneath the outside rail, preventing me from simply lifting it straight off. 2976 All the bolts are rusty. They will be replaced with stainless steel on final assembly. 2975 Had to drill o...

Re: Manx SR2 Build
Oscillating tool with scraper blade worked well removing tar insulation. 2955 Looks like someone tried to butcher a hole in the tunnel with a dull butter knife. I'll open this up to have a look at all the tubes I hope not to cut. 2956 Scribing some layout lines to shorten the tunnel. 2958 At this po...
