Re: Front Springs?

When we changed out the front beam on a ball joint front end, we initially went with the poly bushings. The front end was bound so tight, it would jar your teeth when driving. Finally removed them and went back to the stock style mica bushings. Moves freely now with no issues. I learned later that t...

Re: Need help finding a restoration guy in Georgia

Welcome to the asylum! :shifty: While I can't offer any suggestions to you immediate question (we are on the West Coast), have you thought about doing as much of the work as you can yourself to get it running? With a little time, inclination, and the help of the internet along with a couple ...

Re: Front Springs?

How do you plan on using your buggy? If you are going to be mostly street, then cutting one of the torsion springs might work out just fine. If you are going to be off-road for a significant amount of time, you may want to leave it a bit stiff. Ours seems stiff when parked and putting weight on the ...

Re: Front Springs?

My first recommendation before deleting any torsion bars would be to make sure the spring packs are thoroughly lubed. We had a ball joint front end that was as stiff as could be. After lubing it, it loosened up over a few months (it took time to get the lube between each of the bars. You could R &am...

Re: Depreciation or Appreciation of buggys

Much of it depends on where the market is from day to day, year to year. Right now with everything going on in the world, you would be hard pressed to get much for most buggies. Not alot of a chance to get out of it what you put into it monetarily. We bought our buggy in 2001 for $4K. We have since ...

Re: Clean Up the Ridge Route - CUTTR Event -POSTPONED-

With the California governor recommending that all people in the state shelter in place for the immediate future, this clean-up event has been postponed and will be rescheduled as the situation improves.

Re: Racepoint ORV beach reopens April 15 2020

They BANNED two wheel drive vehicles on the beach? A 2-wheel drive "Dune Buggy" drives on the sand BETTER than most 4-wheel drive vehicles ever could. Has anyone obtained an exact copy of the new rules? Is anyone there fighting the rule changes? We have a similar issue on the left c...

Re: Windshield Wiper Solution (CUSTOM, off-the-shelf parts)

That is a nice unit. Just keep in mind that with it installed on the top of the windshield frame, you won't be able to put either a hard top or soft top on the buggy which leaves the occupants exposed to the full force of the elements (sun, rain etc.).

Re: Rockin' the River March 19-22, 2020

This is what was put out by the club regarding space reservations a few months ago. I haven't seen anything else out yet specifically related to event registration. The last couple of events were put out on Facebook first, so try checking there. The web site has been taking a back seat lately. -----...

Re: Wanted: hardtop

Many have gone the soft top route. Relatively easy to make your own if you have any sewing experience, or you can have a custom canvas one made from a boat top maker.

Our lunch spot on the blue run at a pond which was over 10,000'. The run was great, and we had no breakdowns.

Re: Mammoth Lakes Event

The biggest controversy of the run was who showed up.

5524
Bigfoot

5525
Sasquatch

Are they the same? Are they different? :shifty:

Do they like or hate buggies?

You make the call... :shh:
