Re: BRAGGIN ON MANX

I finished the install. It was very frustrating and difficult. I would rather change an engine and transaxle than do it again.

Re: Locked ?

manxdavid, this is just the end of some of the old debate about the sites. like I said subjects remain forever here, so if you want to delve into the past you can. visiting members buggy builds are more entertaining than the politics on the keeping of the site. take note of the dates on posts, as yo...

Re: Meyers Manx Forum?

manxdavid, it took a long time (month) for my access here years ago. I found out at that time; the new facebook manxclub format was to be the new place, and it was debated weather to keep this site or not. it was decided that since this site holds information forever instead of the facebook site tha...

Re: Shifting issue

HavesuDen#837, check all that was suggested: then change your trans oil especially if it wasn't done for awhile. If it wasn't done for awhile carefully watch as it drains. If it is clumpy or sludgy it means it wasn't changed in a long time. What happens is: as your trans wears the wear bits build up...

Re: Meyers Manx Forum?

manxdavid, sorry I can't help you,but this site is rarely used by anyone anymore. they all went to the facebook site. try there for a quick response. I don't have a cell-phone and hate technology so I stay here mostly by myself.

Re: Windshield Wiper Solution (CUSTOM, off-the-shelf parts)

Oliver, Yes a stock VW beetle wiper assembly works perfectly and is easy to install. A 1973 and later beetle wiper assembly works best; because the wiper arms attach with nuts; that way the splines wont strip. The Beetle assembly installs as one complete unit. It is held in place being bolted to the...

Re: BRAGGIN ON MANX

Oliver, you did not say what brand of buggy you are purchasing. If it is a brand new Manx buggy you will have purchased quality. You must understand you may still be challenged in the build process. For example; only 4 holes were predrilled for my kit. They were on the hood for the windshield frame....

Re: BRAGGIN ON MANX

manxdavid, sorry to hear of the issue. My windshield and frame were personally delivered by Bruce and Winnie Meyer. A fiberglass dune buggy built long ago could have been sold without a windshield frame as an option. A local frame and glass could have been added later. At any rate; if anybody has a ...

Racepoint ORV beach reopens April 15 2020

Is anybody interested in joining with me to drive the Cape cod National Seashore Over sand route around the 15th of April 2020? THIS IS NOT A MANXCUB EVENT. It is just the closest drivable beach to me. All Buggies will have to meet all permit regulations! Which can be found on their website. They ta...

RAMBLINGS

There is nothing worse than regret. I'm not debating why?. Trees are burning, volcanoes are erupting, rivers are flooding, and oceans are rising. Things are changing. Earth has always had volcanoes, hurricanes, floods, changing weather. I have been witnessing the Atlantic Ocean rising; as it has aff...

BRAGGIN ON MANX

please don't get offended other brand owners, I own a y2k signature series Manx. Now with 20 years of time and 44762 miles. The buggy windshield needed replacing. Not cracked but sandblasted and hard to look through. People often ask me what's the difference of a MANX brand buggy. I tell them it is ...
