That's too bad Bob. I have been taking advantage of the nicer weather and driving the buggy to work all week. Low 40's in the morning and low 60's on the way home in the evening.

I did the same thing to my tank. I used Kreem. Got it from a motorcycle shop. End result is nice.

Best laid plans...

I had originally planned on taking steps to correct my buggy's inaccurate fuel gauge this winter by adjusting the sending unit float. Now that the buggy has been pressed into service on a near daily basis it has become difficult to stop and tear down the car. In addition to that I still need to fini...

One of the things I like about the teardrop trailers is the simplicity of their design. Towing one behind a buggy is, in my opinion, a neat idea and I hazzard a guess that Bruce would think the same. Problem is that I suspect that without a proper setup you'd have a cart pushing the horse scenario. ...

Fuel Tank Vent Vapor/Charcoal Canister

When I was building my buggy and contemplating the alteration of my fuel tank for buggy use I thought about the vent. I also considered adding in an aftermarket charcoal canister to capture the fuel vapors as they escape the tank, especially on hot days. So in a DSB thread about fuel filters was the...

I thought about using the side bars too but if they get damaged and you have to replace them you'll be undoing wiring as well. On my buggy there is a channel glassed in just under the left side of the body. I have my wiring going through there. It's a bit tight but it works. I suppose if your body d...

When I first installed my IDF's I had issues with the crossbar linkage hitting the rear apron. I've since switched to a CSP bellcrank linkage and love the fit. I tried installing a weblink but I do not like the way it fit or operated.

I'm going to echo the sentiments in this thread . With the new dimensions of the forum some pics are now only partially visible and the posts need to be horizontally moved to view the text and total picture. It was suggested that opening the thread in a new tab will eliminate the borders and two in ...

NO! Dirt is bad! Nice clean buggy is desired! Ha ha! Just kidding. I'm still waiting for that opportunity to come and get her soiled. Until then it's pampering and well, who am I kidding. I love to drive it and seriously cannot keep my foot off the gas. She runs awesome and purrs like a lion. Today ...

The Sombrero - Review

Well, I bought a bikini top from Tom pretty much the moment they became available. I wanted a top that was well made and ready to install. Being the first one to order a Sombrero my top did not come with installation instructions. This was not really an issue because Tom was easy to get a hold of an...

I think what Dennis is trying to say is "Wear an 'Island' shirt and bring a blender." I second the small venue. I recently went to a show at the Filmore in San Francisco. Awesome venue. btw... Sirius Radio ch. 31 Margaritaville is awesome!

I've often wondered what the process would be for converting a buggy to a motorcylcle engine would be. Not anything too powerful but one of similar power say 70 to 90 bhp. I realize that 50 mpg would be out of the question with a buggy weighing anywhere from four to five times that of a bike but it ...
